With public footpaths direct from the farm this is perfect setting for those wishing to explore the stunning countryside by foot or make the most of the riding stables nearby. Venturing further afield you are a short drive from the sandy beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe famous for their surf and popular with bathers and sandcastle makers. Visit the historic villages of Lynton and Lynmouth often referred to as Little Switzerland and take a ride on the famous cliff railway. Local family attractions include Watermouth Castle The Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo. Leisure facilities: the farm is set in 10 acres and guests are welcome to walk the owner s fields perfect for those with dogs please be aware that some of the fields are set on steep slopes. Farm activities: guests are welcome to collect the chicken s eggs see the sheep with their lambs in the spring visit the pigs with their piglets when breeding (due to the nature of farming these activities are seasonal) and say hello to Charles the Shetland pony all by arrangement with the owner. Amenities: bed linen towels and electric included. Regret no smoking. Additional info: private water supply. Shared washing and drying facilities situated in outbuilding onsite free of charge. 1 basket of logs included per woodburner additional wood can be purchased onsite for 5.00 per wheelbarrow load. Location: beach 3 miles shops and pub 2 miles. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with four poster bed feature beams and dual access to bathroom. 1 twin with en-suite wetroom. Bathroom: with roll-top bath with shower attachment and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: spacious open-plan living area with feature beams woodburner TV DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen area well-equipped with gas hob electric oven microwave fridge and freezer. Dining table and chairs. Outside: private lawned area with patio seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample parking for 2 cars. Additional info: 25 central heating surcharge applies from October - March inclusive and is payable direct to the owner on arrival. 2 dogs welcome.

Barnstaple is the main town in North Devon, situated on the River Taw. This town with ancient historic roots, as well as strong Victorian roots to much of its architecture, boasts a fine range of shops and good transport connections with both rail access from Exeter as well as a newly opened Western Bypass which now diverts much of the traffic which once used to work its way through the town centre. Notable points of interest include the Castle, the Pannier Market and the Clock Tower dating back to 1862. An annual attraction is the Barnstaple Fair held every September and of much interest to railway enthusiasts will be the nearby narrow gauge Lynton and Barnstaple Railway which has been re-opened in recent years as a tourist attraction running authentic narrow gauge steam trains.
